In Focus: Conference North

Those lucky sods in the Conference North. They only went and hit the jackpot by being Soccer AM/MW's chosen league this season.

Here you can keep up to date with all the ups and downs of the season as we go to Town (Harrogate, presumably) on the Conference North!

Pre-season Preview
Taking a look at the runners and riders in the Conference North for the 2009/10 campaign.

August
Promoted duo Eastwood and Corby get off to a flying start in the division, Northwich and Farsley play catch-up after points deductions, and Gainsborough make a big-name managerial appointment.

September
Farsley and Hyde United come close to going out of business, Harrogate and Vauxhall slide into relegation trouble, and two former Conference clubs take charge at the top.

October
Five teams make the First Round of the FA Cup. Elsewhere in the division, there's a new leader at the summit and another bad month for struggling Harrogate at the bottom.

November

Northwich provide a huge FA Cup upset, Southport extend their lead at the top of the table, and big-spending Gainsborough find themselves back in relegation trouble.

December
Fleetwood Town on song as they move up to second, wintry weather decimates the league fixtures, and Vauxhall Motors find themselves propping up the rest of the division.

January
Stalybridge begin the search for a new manager, there are new leaders in the Conference North, and will big-spending Gainsborough's struggles ever end?

February

Gloucester in need of a new home, Fleetwood strengthen their bid for the title, and are things starting to go pear-shaped for Redditch?

March

Farsley Celtic go out of business. While close at the top, it appears all over at the bottom, and Workington make a late dash for the play-offs.

April

Southport edge out Fleetwood to win the title on the final day, Droylsden sneak into the play-offs, and Vauxhall Motors and Harrogate are consigned to the drop.

May

Fleetwood, Alfreton, Workington, and Droylsden were all competing for promotion via the play-offs. One one would emerge victorious.
