A very happy new year from Soccer AM/MW!

A new year, and a new decade, but still the same quality coverage of the lower leagues here on your favourite football blog. Admittedly, things have got off to slow start though.

Turns out the heavy snowfall across the country led to Lakes being snowed in, Turls also found himself immobile after one too many home-baked mince pie, and I myself was only recently given the all-clear from Irn Bru rehab.

However, things will soon be back to normal, albeit the aforementioned snow has led to the fixture lists being decimated across the country.

This hit our Big Match Preview from the weekend but never fear, when Cheltenham and Hereford do meet, we will round up what happens. Now you can sleep easy.

It's also meant a few of our Prediction League games haven't come to fruition. In fact, the point scoring has been as sparse as the full time classified scores.

However, I'm delighted to say that I have managed to close the gap at the top to just three points. A sneaky title bid could be on the cards.

Elsewhere, we will be rounding up the events that have been happening in our featured division, the Conference North, and also, after being accused of offering poor coverage of the Conference, we'll be doing something on that.

Not sure exactly what yet, but we respond to all criticism, as well as the faint praise we receive.

Also, ahead of the final, Turls has also promised us a tribute describing why he, and God knows why, thinks the Johnstone's Paint Trophy is so great.

And who knows, we might even get around to sorting out our fantasy Championship table some time this decade. Watch this space.

Thanks for reading,

Nobes.
